Why take care of your feet?

The human foot is often compared to the roots of trees, and a tree is only as strong as its roots. We do not take this analogy completely literally, but we are very aware of how important human feet are to the proper functioning of our entire body.

Unfortunately, we pay little attention to our feet compared to their importance and at the same time we wear shoes that do not give them space and thus limit their activity. Weakened legs gradually start to hurt, and at the same time we start to overload our knees, hips or even the lumbar spine.

We have been dedicated to foot therapy for a long time, and we gained our experience as part of a diploma thesis focused on running barefoot/in barefoot shoes.

What areas do we focus on?

The human foot is anatomically very complex and at the same time the feet have to bear a great load. Therefore, the pains and problems that can bother us in the leg area are very varied.

01

Flat feet

Feet are very often not as flat as they may seem. It may be more about indented ankles and a natural foot position that is not unhealthy or harmful. However, it is always good to assess the situation individually.

02

Halux valgus

In the case of hallux valgus, it is not only important to have the right shoes, but mainly active muscle exercises or suitable corrective aids that reduce the progression of the bunion.

03

Achilles tendon pain

Calf or Achilles tendon pain is often associated with sports. In addition to taking care of the muscles and strengthening them, it is also important to properly dose the load.

04

Post-traumatic care

Rehabilitation after a sprain or even a fracture in the leg and ankle area should not be underestimated. As part of healing, we load the legs asymmetrically, and these habits can persist even after healing.

05

Feet pain

Pain in the area of the soles of the feet often requires more complex therapy in a combination of muscle relaxation, proper exercise, suitable footwear or insoles.

06

Other foot deformities

Hallux rigidus, hammer toes, etc. are other areas of care that we are happy to advise you on.
