Education

Beginning

Our professional journey began with the study of physiotherapy at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, which provided us with a solid foundation and understanding of the functioning of the human body. At the same time, we gained deep knowledge within neurology and were able to practically learn the principles of many physiotherapy methods and techniques. In both of these areas, our faculty was exceptional.

Master degree

Next our steps led to a master's degree at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Two years of study fundamentally developed our skills in diagnosing movement disorders and supported our relationship with physiotherapy in sports.

Lifelong learning

After graduating, we systematically continued our professional growth and regularly participated in specialized courses focusing on foreign concepts. These approaches enriched our repertoire and expanded the possibilities of therapeutic work.

Examples of completed courses

01    Mulligan Concept

06   Coordination-load kinesiotherapy

02   Fascial manipulation (Stecco)

07   Manual medicine for TMJ dysfunction

03   Dry needling (DGSA)

08   Viscerovertebral relationships with a focus on GERD

04   Visceral manipulations (Barrala)

09   Mobilization in the context of muscle chains

05   MFK method

10    Podoskop - examination and interpretation

In addition to postgraduate courses, we also work with selected methodological approaches that were part of our university education. We do not use them as complete systems, but if clinically appropriate according to the nature of the difficulties, we use elements and principles of DNS, McKenzie, SM system, Spiraldynamik or, for example, mobilization according to Mojžíšová.

Practice as a teacher

Over the years, thanks to our work with clients, we have become increasingly aware that it is not primarily about the number of courses completed, but about their meaningful use. The effectiveness of therapy and the ability to help people is also greatly influenced by how well the therapist can listen, interpret and communicate, or simply whether they still enjoy their work and have enough energy for it. We try to apply these findings to our approach.
